The Second African Climate Summit (ACS2), to be jointly convened by the Government of Ethiopia and the African Union Commission, will be held from 8–10 September 2025 in Addis Ababa. Building on the momentum of the inaugural summit, ACS2 aims to consolidate Africa’s position as a solutions provider and investment destination in the global climate response.
As one of the core outputs of the Summit, the ACS2 Flagship Report on African Climate Solutions will feature a selection of high-impact African-led climate initiatives and partnerships. These will serve as practical illustrations of climate leadership, innovation, and delivery on the ground, while also informing broader policy and financing priorities.
This Call invites governments, institutions, organizations, and private sector actors to submit existing or emerging initiatives that demonstrate tangible impact, scalability, and alignment with ACS2’s core themes. Selected initiatives will be profiled in the Flagship Report and may also be featured during official sessions of the Summit.
Ecosystem restoration, reforestation, community-led conservation, and sustainable land and water use.
Digital tools, clean tech innovation, AI or data-driven climate applications, climate information systems.
Renewable energy, energy access, clean cooking and manufacturing, and local value chains.
